The war may be won in the strategy room, but it’s fought on the frontlines. In these ticket sales writing samples from my time with the Miami HEAT, I structured and directed the advertising strategy for two sales campaigns – one that sold new season tickets and one that sought renewals on existing season tickets. Especially effective was the renewal campaign, which achieved an 87% renewal rate (57% early renewals) in a particularly troublesome year as far as team outlook had been concerned.
